Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper in Wantage, Oxfordshire

Blueberry is a busy bookkeeping practice based at Grove Business Park near Wantage. It is our mission to be one of the best bookkeeping services in Oxfordshire.

We are ideally looking for someone who has previous experience in the bookkeeping processes as detailed below. The role is full time but we would also consider school hours. The successful candidate must be qualified, have a minimum three years experience, and have the right attitude to join a small, fun, and hard-working team.

This is not a role for those seeking to progress to Accountancy Level.

Roles & Responsibilities

To support customers in keeping good financial records which may include:

  • Sales invoices
  • Purchase bills and receipts
  • Expense claim processing
  • Bank and Credit card processing and reconciling
  • Credit control
  • Payroll
  • CIS
  • Vat returns
  • Budgeting
  • Management reports

Qualifications & Skills

A strong experience in a financial role with bookkeeping experience and qualification (minimum of Level 3 AAT, ICB or IAB equivalent qualifications).

It is expected that the Finance Assistant will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Word and Excel. The following experience is preferred, however, training will be given if necessary:

  • Xero accounting software
  • Hubdoc

The successful candidate will:

This is an office based role, and due to the location, candidates must have their own transport

Salary: £20,000 – £24,000 per annum
